L.E.A.P (Learn. Engage. Achieve. Participate)

The L.E.A.P (Learn. Engage. Achieve. Participate) program equips individuals with the tools and resources to develop academic, social and personal skills that will guide them toward success in school. The program’s goal is to decrease minority overrepresentation in the juvenile justice system.

Requirements

This program is for youth in Levy County.

Curriculum

Mentors with LEAP will be expected to spend at least thrifty minutes per week with their mentees, not including additional time that is spent with the child’s family. LEAP will also provide a variety of activities for mentors, youth participants, and families to participate in, such as community service, school activities, recreational fun, and reward ceremonies.
